This painting is part of a very early and foundational period in my work. Created in 2017, it captures a stage of exploration in colour and emotional depth that has become the foundational blocks within my current practice. The energy, mood and vulnerability of this period are special to me which makes this painting particularly meaningful. Desert Cactus is a portrait of a woman in nature arriving in her beauty and power amongst cactuses, it is symbolic of strength, endurance, resilience, protection and her ability to survive harsh conditions.

Because of its significance from this early era, it is priced as a premium piece within my collection. This was amongst some of the first paintings that really built my confidence to recreate my illustrations into paintings.

She is a beacon of light and bloom and i joyfully look forward to her finding a home.
