This series consists of hand drawn ink illustrations inspired by my ongoing drawings of Women with Plants / mark making patterns. Each artwork is created slowly and intuitively by hand, using ink to form portraits intertwined with indian black ink and botanical pattern and symbolic detail.

While the compositions are revisited, no two works are ever the same. Each piece carries its own rhythm, line quality, and subtle differences, reflecting the nature of hand drawing and the presence of the moment in which it was made.

These works sit between illustration and fine art, offering an intimate and expressive entry point into my wider practice. Created as a small series of variations rather than editions, every artwork remains an original, shaped by touch, time, and attention.

Women with Plants Variations celebrates repetition as a form of deepening rather than replication, allowing familiar forms to unfold in new ways with each drawing.
