Hello sweet ones ... ! Well its been a while I must say I been busy being a first time mum for 1 year and it has been a heck of an incredible journey so far - very grateful . It's amazing how much you can learn, grow and change within journeying through motherhood. Motherhood has been teaching me how to love unconditionally & look after myself even more than before my little one arrived - I guess that's because i realise these little humans depend on you and your energy to sustain their every need - so we as mothers need that TLC at all times . One of the things which i have enjoyed making for presents this seasons holidays is "smell + feel gorgeous" soap. I now use these in my #handmade & #selfcare routine it's awesome please have a try at making and perhaps this is a step to trying the more traditional way of making handmade soaps- Check out my DIY how to make soaps below.....
Silicone Soap Mould buy here LINK
A Pot ( Separate from your cooking pan - non stick )
Herbs, seeds & botanicals like : such as Rose petals, heather grains, poppy seeds, oats, alfalfa, lavender buds. LINK
Mica powder - (for colouring soap) LINK
Spoon & knife (large non stick)
Chopping board (separate from cooking board)
Step 1: Melt Soap
Chop up your soap into smaller pieces - ( It melts faster chopped up) place into a pan. Melt the soap. Be sure to melt it but not over burn.
Step 2: Add Essential Oil
Add essential oils and mix thoroughly (i did this in the pan & didnt bother using a bowl because it dries quickly).
Step 3: Additional Ingredients & Herbs / Botanicals
Add dried rose petals, lavender buds, oats, grated lemon skin, herbs from teabags ... or mica powder for colouring. (i loved using oats and petals - bare in mind that if using petals they will eventually turn green / brown - through natural discolouring) Mix well and use a small amount of dried herb/ petals. - This part is fun and unpredictable.
Step 4: Pour into Soap Mold
Be sure the soap and its contents are mixed thoroughly and then pour into the mold.

Just Before the soap cools, sprinkle additional dried botanicals to give it that extra magicalness.
Leave to cool for 20-30 mins then pop out!...
